Nationwide Coaching & Consulting
Coaching and consulting for high-conflict parenting situations — available nationwide.
You don’t have to be in Texas to work with Carl. As a published author and experienced family law attorney, Carl provides coaching, second opinions, and legal consulting to clients across the country who are navigating high-conflict parenting situations.
Who This Is For
When you need more than information — you need someone who has seen it all and knows what actually works.
Navigating a high-conflict parenting situation — especially when the other parent is a narcissist, manipulator, or simply someone who refuses to cooperate — is exhausting, confusing, and isolating. Generic online resources don’t help. Friends don’t understand. Even some attorneys don’t fully grasp what it’s like to deal with these dynamics day after day.
Carl Knickerbocker has spent nearly two decades in family law with a specific focus on high-conflict cases. He is a published author on parallel parenting, narcissistic abuse, and family court strategy. He has seen how these situations play out — in real life and in real courtrooms — and he brings that experience directly to you through his coaching and consulting services.
These services are available to anyone, anywhere in the country. You don’t need to live in Texas to benefit from Carl’s perspective and guidance.

Not sure your current attorney is giving you the right advice? Have questions about your case strategy, a proposed settlement, or a court order you’ve been presented with? Common Questions
Coaching & Consulting FAQs
What’s the difference between coaching and legal representation?
Legal representation means Carl appears in your case as your attorney, files documents on your behalf, and advocates for you in court. Coaching and consulting are advisory services — Carl shares his knowledge and perspective to help you navigate your situation, work with your own attorney more effectively, or develop strategies for your specific circumstances. Coaching is available nationwide; legal representation is currently limited to Texas.
Do I need to be in Texas to work with Carl?
No. All coaching and consulting services are available virtually, regardless of where you live. Carl has worked with clients from across the country who are dealing with high-conflict co-parenting situations, navigating their own family court cases, or simply looking for guidance from someone who has seen these dynamics from both inside and outside the courtroom.
How do sessions work?
Sessions are conducted virtually via video call or phone, so you can meet from anywhere. Before your first session, we’ll ask you to complete an intake form so Carl can prepare and make the most of your time together. Follow-up sessions are available as needed. Many clients work with Carl on an ongoing basis as their situation develops.
Can coaching help if I’m already in the middle of a court case?
Yes — in fact, this is one of the most valuable times to get outside perspective. Carl can review your situation, help you understand what’s happening in the case, identify things your attorney may be missing or not prioritizing, and help you prepare for hearings or depositions. A second opinion from a fresh set of experienced eyes often reveals important strategy considerations.
